Bringing hope in time of need

displaying servanthood when it matters most.

About our organization

We are Veteran ran 501 (c)(3) non-profit; formed with the intentions of serving not only Beauregard Parish but also neighboring parishes and beyond during difficult times – be it natural disasters, the pandemic, or household food shortages. NSO strives to bring hope to those who may find themselves in need of help.

Projects & Outreach

Disaster Relief:

All too familiar with “storm season”, NSO aims to be as ready as possible with supplies and a possible deployment should a natural disaster take place: severe thunderstorm, tornado, hurricane, flood, fires occur. An example of supplies always on hand may include but are not limited to: cases of water, clean-up buckets, non-perishable food, tarps with roof tacs, hygiene products, etc; in addition we provide hot meals to the affected area.

Monthly Food Commodities:

NSO serves 415 Senior Citizen/Veteran households (averaging approx. 1,345 individuals) on a monthly basis with non-perishable food bags.

Community Outreach:

NSO participates in a wide variety of community events and activities while working closely with the VFW Post 3619, American Legion Post 27, Beauregard Parish Sheriff Office, Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce, and DeRidder City Hall – community helping community brings HOPE - organizations working together is absolutely vital to making a great community.
